Legora is in early talks to raise new funding at a valuation above $10 billion. That is the report from the Financial Times, shared in mid-August 2026. Nothing is closed yet, and the terms could still change. Legora has declined to comment.
If it happens, the round would nearly double the company’s value in a matter of months. You can read the background in our full Legora profile.

| Previous valuation | $5.6 billion (April 2026) |

Reaching $10 billion would mean the market decided Legora is worth almost twice as much, before its earlier money had time to do much.
Legora Funding history
| Round | Date | Amount | Valuation | Lead investor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Series D | Mar 2026 | $550M (extended to $600M) | $5.55B, then $5.6B | Accel |
| Series C | Oct 2025 | $150M | $1.8B | Not disclosed |
| Series B | May 2025 | $80M | $675M | ICONIQ, General Catalyst |
Legora closed its Series D in March 2026, then extended it in April with another $50 million and new backers including Nvidia’s venture arm. Earlier seed and Series A rounds bring its total funding to around $866 million.
The growth behind the talks
Legora’s annual recurring revenue reportedly reached about $150 million in the second quarter of 2026, up 50 percent from the quarter before. Its customer base grew to roughly 1,500 law firms and legal teams. The company plans to more than double its staff by the end of the year.
At a $10 billion valuation, investors would be paying close to 67 times current revenue. At $12 billion, that climbs to around 80 times. Those are steep multiples that leave little room for a slowdown.
The rivalry with Harvey
Legora’s main competitor is Harvey, a US legal AI company that is reportedly seeking its own raise at around $15 billion. The two are racing into each other’s home markets, Legora pushing into the US and Harvey into Europe. Both are spending heavily on growth and brand.
Why it matters
Legal is proving to be one of the most valuable markets for AI agents. The Legora and Harvey race is the clearest test of whether a specialized platform can hold its lead as general AI models keep improving. If Legora closes this round, it joins a very short list of European AI companies worth more than $10 billion.
